2019 UAA Season Recap


The 2019 Club season marked the first every for the newly minted Under Armour Association. A collection of many of the top independent teams in the country, plus a handful of ex-adidas team; gave the UAA a lot of buzz in its first year. 36 teams competed at the 17U and 16U levels; while the UAA also featured a full-on league at the 15U level as well with 32 teams.

The UAA went with the more traditional circuit approached used by its boys as well; with division games played throughout the spring and summer; leading to the UA Finals. Each team played 10 regular season games; 5 in Pennsylvania and 5 in Indianapolis. They were then seeded based on division standings into a 32 team bracket for the UA Finals in Atlanta.

Much like Team Takeover in the Nike circuit, FBC United was dominate in the UAA. Their 17u Team posted a perfect 15-0 season to win the Championship. They repeated the same feat a the 15u level. The West Virginia Thunder matched them at the 16U level; with all three of the inaugural UAA Champions posting undefeated seasons.
