Previewing the Insider Exposure Thanksgiving Showcase

5 Florida Seniors to Watch (2020’s)

Britany Range 5-10 G Middleburg (Seton Hall) – 29 points to open the season for Range in a win over Creekside she has easily developed in to Florida’s Top 2020 shooter but has so much more to her game now. An unstoppable force in high school this season will be on display at Thanksgiving.

Amari Wright 5-8 G Sandalwood (Seton Hall) – The best pure point guard in Florida’s 2020 class? I think so Wright has done what her team needs early in the season against good competition. Look for her to put on a show again at Thanksgiving.

Shekinah Sanders 5-8 G Bolles (Uncommitted) – Lefty powerful guard who has been a staple for Bolles’s success over the last two seasons. One of the best uncommitted 2020’s in Florida is one to watch this weekend for sure.

Bella LaChance 5-6 G St. Thomas Aquinas – The Broward County Player of the Year in 2018-2019 and early signee with Vanderbilt will come out and play state runner up Bishop Kenny and Florida’s Top 2021 Point Guard in O’Mariah Gordon a showdown you dont see often!

Nyla Allen 5-6 G Raines (Uncommitted) – Another electric guard in an event of electric guards is unsigned and one of the top prospects still left in 2020. Allen is an elite passer who is impossible to guard for the hometown Vikings.

5 Florida Juniors to Watch (2021’s)

Jasmyne Roberts 5-10 G 2021 Bishop Kenny – Big start to the season going for double figures in two blow out wins in the pre-season then to open the season against Palatka. Roberts is showing real range which is a huge addition to her game the Bishop Kenny schedule is as tough as anyone in the event it’ll be fun to watch Roberts lead her team vs Elite Competition.

Erin Turral 5-6 G 2021 Lincoln – Led Florida in scoring last year Turral is a flat out scoring machine hearing from Power 5 Programs its hard to imagine what she can do for an encore this season. What we do know is she is one of the most fun players to watch and best shooters in Florida.

Mariah Gordon 5-6 G 2021 Braden River – Gordon put on a show in Tampa last weekend in the pre-season but has fantastic match ups versus Norman OK who has multiple Power 5 players and Bella LaChance Florida’s only 2020 Power 5 guard early signee. Another player worth the price of admission will be up to the challenge in Jacksonville.

Selah Reddick 5-6 G 2021 Raines – Quick guard who is as aggressive on the defensive side of the floor as anyone is a major sleeper in Florida’s 2021 class. Look for her, Nyla Allen, and Ahliah Brown to be one of the best backcourts in the state this year.

Skylar Baltezegar 6-4 P 2021 Middleburg – One of the most improved players in the state holds multiple D1 offers and broke out with a 24 point game in a win over Creekside this week. There is no ceiling to how good Baltezegar can be this high school season and we will see her in great match ups all weekend in Jacksonville.

5 Florida Underclassmen to Watch (2022’s & 2023’s)

Taliah Scott 5-10 G 2023 Bolles – We think Florida’s Top 2023 opened her high school career with a 20 point game against Fletcher. Unlimited range and an uncanny feel for the game make Scott one of the most highly recruited 2023’s Nationally.

Jada Jones 6-4 P 2023 Sandalwood – Like we said this event is very good for young prospects. Jones is the best post prospect in Florida’s 2023 class she opened up her high school career with a 19 point game in a Sandalwood over Nease this week and will need to be a major scoring threat for the Saints until Caitlin McGee returns to the floor.

Aaliyah Capers 5-11 W/F 2023 Braden River – Underrated prospect who has walked on campus at Braden River earning a starting spot as a freshman. Capers registered 8 points and 11 boards in her first high school game against IMG. Look for her to continue to develop into one of the best 2023’s in Florida.

Aja Pollard 5-8 G 2023 Bartram Trail – Great size great shooter great pedigree – Pollard has been an anchor for young players in North Florida for some time and is one of the better shooters in the area. Pollard has a lot of potential and will end up really having a nice year to showcase herself at Bartram Trail under 1st Year Head Coach Tim Winter.

Reina Green 6-1 F 2023 St. Thomas Aquinas – Move in from Atlanta Green played on FBC’s Top 2021 Team in the UAA last year. Green is a long athletic forward who adds another dimension to a loaded St. Thomas team.

4 Games to Watch

Florida Prep (Melbourne) vs Bolles (Jacksonville) – Florida Prep went 2-0 in the Pre-Season and beat St. Cloud by 40+ to open the season but Bolles has one of the best backcourts in Florida with Shekinah Sanders, Taliah Scott, and Ashley Thompkins. This should be a fun game to watch between to Final Four contenders.

Bishop Kenny (Jacksonville) vs St Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) – Two state runner ups do battle. You have a loaded St. Thomas Roster vs a well coached team led by Jasmyne Roberts. Will St. Thomas be able to pressure Roberts or will she score at will? Regardless two of the most well coached programs in Florida will battle to be the best catholic school in Florida.

Raines (Jacksonville) vs Lincoln (Tallahassee, Fl) – Guards Guards and More Guards – This game features 5 Division 1 Guards who all have something in common – Speed! Look for this to be a high scoring track meet between to Final Four contenders.

Norman (OK) vs Braden River – A talented Braden River team with several good players versus one of the best teams in the country in Norman OK. Is Braden River a state champion contender? Is O’Mariah ready to take the Pirates to the next level? Many of the questions which wil be answered this weekend in Jacksonville.
