Jr-All Star NCAAW Mid-Major Top 15 Players This Season:

As we sit in mid-January and in the heart of the NCAAW College season, there has been some players lighting it up in the mid-major ranks this season. If people have the mentality that only power five players are entertaining, you are missing out on some of the best basketball in the entire country. Here we highlight some of the top 15 players so far this season and names that you will want to try and watch when you get the chance.

McKenna Hofschild- Colorado State

The 5’5 sparkplug guard has been the main catalyst for her Rams team. She is averaging a team-high 14.6 points a game, including a 32-point outburst against Boise State at the end of December. 

Paige Meyer- South Dakota State 

This freshman guard appeared to hit the ground running to start out her college career. In her second game, she poured in a game-high 25 points against Mississippi State. She is currently averaging a team-high 10.4 points a game. 

Paisley Harding- BYU

Paisley is one part of the two-headed dominate duo that has BYU currently sitting at 14-1 and in the top 25 rankings. She is currently averaging 15.8 points a game, including a career-high 33 scoring output against Utah earlier this season. 

Shaylee Gonzales- BYU

When talking about a possible mid-major player of the year, Shaylee should be one of the first names that is discussed. The sophomore guard is averaging a team-high 18.2 points a game this season and the engine for a team with big time aspirations come march. 

Kierstan Bell- Florida Gulf Coast

Bell is simply one of the most dominate players in the entire country. She is currently top 5 in the country and is averaging 24.6 points a game. She has been in double figures each game this season, including a 39-point offensive explosion against Tennessee Tech back in November. 

Chloe Lamb- South Dakota

The Redshirt senior is currently leading the 14-4 and 7-0 in conference play Coyotes with 15.6 points a game. Her season high 30 points came earlier this season in an overtime victory over Pittsburg. 

Hannah Sjerven- South Dakota 

Hannah has been a steady and consistent presence for the Coyotes inside the paint. She is averaging 13.7 points a game this year, which includes an impressive 35-point performance in a victory over Wichita State. She also leads her team in rebounds and has produced four double-doubles to date. 

Jasmine Dickey- Delaware 

Jasmine has been one of the most explosive scorers this season. She has been hovering around the top of the points per game top spot in the country and is currently averaging 24.1 points a game. Her notable games include an eye-popping 48-point performance in a win over Eastern Michigan. 

Dyaisha Fair- Buffalo 

Fair has been fairly unguidable at times this season. She is currently averaging 23.6 points a game, which is good enough for fourth highest scoring average in the country. She is coming off a career-high 40-point game in a victory over Bowling Green. 

Cierra “CeCe” Hooks- Ohio

CeCe is having a pretty impressive scoring season for her Bobcats team. She has been in double figures in all of her team’s game so far this year, including a season high 30 point showing in her team’s recent victory over Central Michigan. She also became the program’s all-time leading scorer in that game surpassing the previous record of 2,449 points. 

Mackenzie Kramer- Lehigh 

The sharp-shooting sophomore guard in currently averaging a team-high 15.5 points per game. She poured in a career-high 31 points in her team’s victory over George Washington earlier this season. 

Abby Meyers- Princeton

Meyers has leaping into a starring role this season for Princeton. She has increased her scoring output from 6.3 points a game last season to team-high 18.1 points this season. She scored a season-high 28 points in a victory over Cornell earlier this month. 

Caitlyn Harper- Cal Baptist 

The high-scoring is coming off a 30-point showing in a victory over Utah State. She has been in double-digits every game so far this season and is averaging a team-high 18.9 points per game. 

Melody Kempton- Gonzaga 

Melody is currently leading a deep Bulldog team in scoring at 11.4 points a game. She scored a season-high 25 points in a victory earlier this season in a victory over Portland and notably scored 16 points against Stanford in a near upset victory over the defending champs back in November. 

Stephanie Visscher- Stephen F. Austin

The senior guard is currently averaging 13.6 points a game for her 13-3 team. She scored a team-high 18 points a game in her team’s notable hard-fought losses against Texas A&M and Gonzaga earlier this season.
