We continue to have our ear to the ground on all things girls’ basketball – especially on the club basketball scene. With the changing calendar, all things were up in the air moving into 2023 and now we get some clarity with the first major shoe circuit locking in their dates.
In 2022 Under Armour ran in April in Hoover, AL, the first half of July in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the second half of July in Manheim, PA for the Finals. Here is where the UAA will be in 2023:
2023 Schedule
April – Session I
Location: Manheim, PA (Spooky Nook)
The UAA returns to Spooky Nook, where their first opening weekend was for the start of the league in 2019.
July 9-11 – Session II
Location: Louisville, KY (Kentucky Expo)
Under Armour takes the place of Nike for the first half of July in Kentucky. They will run two live dates (2 games per day) on July 9 and July 10, and then one during the dead day on July 11.
July 22-24 – UAA Finals
Location: Hamilton, OH (Spooky Nook)
The new Spooky Nook Sports facility, which wasn’t ready last year will host the UAA Finals the final 3 viewing period days of the summer.
The UAA website lists 31 programs for 2023 – the rumor is that the Sports City Angels (Cincy Angels) are likely leaving for Nike and DC Premier is no longer listed on the girls’ site for a team.
