Summer Showcase (July 2021)

Willems is one of those do anything that is asked of them type of players. Throughout games, she showed flashes of being able to get to her desired spots and score if that what was needed. If she has strong ball-dominate scorers on her team, she would fight downlow for rebounds or look to set solid screens to get them open for scoring opportunities. Her read on the game to know when she should look to score and when to affect the game in other areas was unmatched at the event and none of her shots would be considered forced or bad looks. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to work on her ball handling and creating off the bounce. She at times appeared to pass up opportunities where she could have beaten a slower defender off the bounce. She has shown the ability to handle the ball so working on her confidence and making attacking second nature will help her become more of a consistent threat that defenses will have to prepare for in a game.
