Fall Exclusive 2023 Pressley continues to show that she is a forceful scoring option. Throughout the event, anytime the ball found its way into her hands, she was a threat to score. She is a three-level elite scorer and can score anyway imaginable. Even if defenders found a way to stick with her, she showed the body control and speed to quickly pull off a spin-move and hit a fade-away jumper. That type of move is extremely difficult, and Pressley makes it look easy. On defense, she is productive defender who comes up with more than her fair share of emphatic blocks or quick steals. She is always one of the most explosive players and productive players on both sides of the ball when she is on the court and knows that she can control and manage the game for her team. An area of opportunity for her will be to continue to work on her vocal leadership on the court. She has shown growth in that area but using her voice while directing the action for her team is something she is capable of and will help her growth into a leader for any team she is playing on. Summer Showcase MN 2023 Pressley is truly a masterful offensive player. She used her quick footspeed to get past almost any defender at will as she powered her way to the basket. She also showed off a trademark, spinning one-legged fade away jumper in the paint time and time and scored almost every time. Her body control to remain in the air while also having the strength to still get the ball through the hoop is extremely impressive. She also showed off emphatic blocks and rarely was going to allow opposing players to score on her. She also has the ability to rebound and run. As soon as she secures the ball, she instantly started charging up the court to look for scoring opportunity. Her area of opportunity is to continue to work on not settling when it comes to her offense. While she is a capable and solid jump shooter, she at times seemed to pass up open lanes or slower defenders and just taking a contested jump shot. MN AAU State 2023 Pressley has the skillet that she can do a little bit of everything on both sides on the ball. Throughout the entire weekend of the State Tournament, you could see that she had every single set of eyes on her from the defense and yet she still found a way to score most of the time. She showed her strength and quickness at getting downhill to attack off the bounce. She often was trying to score among multiple defenders and with high amounts of physicality and still she scored her fair share inside the paint. She also showed off her stamina is at a high level. It can be absolutely draining being target #1 of the defenses as well as arguably the top offensive weapon and she showed that she is not only willing but capable of taking on that task and be effective for her team and individually. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to work on and perfect her ability to score the 3-ball off the bounce. She has the outside shot as part of her skillset but continuing to work on creating that shot off bounce will continue her ever-growing offensive skillset take even another step. Minnesota Fall Exclusive (October 2020) Pressley is a player who gives 100% out on the court 100% of the time. She will never take a play off on either side of the ball and that kind of effort and energy can be contagious for her teammates. She shows a willingness to fight down low in the painted area for rebounds and does a good job of chasing down rebounds or diving onto the floor if there is a scrum for a loose ball. On offense, she is equally willing to give it her all in an attempt to score. She shows a nice ability to finish through traffic and using her height to rise over smaller defenders for close range shots. Her area of opportunity will be exercising her patience or strong decision making when it comes to going for steals or deflections. Her high energy has her looking to get steals and deflections that could lead to easy buckets for her team, however unfortunately at times it leaves her out of position. Her hard-working attitude will get her plenty or deflections simply by continuing to give unwavering effort. MN Summer Showcase (August 2020) Pressley is just coming into her offensive skillset. You can see that she has the ability to score from multiple places on the court and is effective in whichever area she chooses. She has a nice runner that she can get off in the painted area if taller defenders come at her to contest the shot. She also is a capable and confident shooter from 3-point range, especially if she gets open from the corners of the court. She also can be a vocal leader for her team. She can be heard telling teammates when she is in help side defense, on picks her you can clearly here her calling it out or to say switch with her teammate. Her area of opportunity will be not allowing the defense to speed her up. At times she may rush a shot when the defensive pressure is picked up. She has the ability to make the defense pay if they are pressing up on her with a back-door cut or strong dribble-drive move. MN Summer Showcase (July 2021) Pressley showed that she is a player that has developed a strong sense of confidence in her game. She carries herself as someone who knows she can handle her own on both sides of the game. On defense, she uses her long wingspan and timing to come up with emphatic blocks close to the basket. Being a player who is capable of playing and scoring from the guard position, but also slide downlow and fight for tough rebounds and stop easy buckets with her blocking makes her a complete two-way player. An area of opportunity for her would be to continue to work on her ball handling. She at times doesn’t appear fully confident in her handles and will do a jumper instead of powering her way to basket. If she can tighten up the handles and work towards being able to create more off the bounce and control the ball in traffic will allow her to keep defenders off balanced and trying to guess if she will shoot or create for a close-range shot.
