MN AAU State Tournament - May 2021 Chloe showed that has the ability to do it all for her team. Every time we watch Chloe play she gets better and better and with her only being a 2028, the sky is the limit for her. Chloe showed off her versatile skill-set. She was able to get into the lane and hit a mid-range jumper or finish around the rim. Chloe can knock down the open shot from beyond the arc effortlessly. She is hard to guard off the bounce and does a great job of setting up her teammates for scoring opportunities. She is a player that people are going to keep their eye on! Minnesota Fall Exclusive - October 2020 Chloe has a growing game on both sides of the ball and is seemingly getting better and better anytime she steps onto the court. She has a feel for how to run and control the game for her team that is beyond what her young years would suggest. She seems to know who needs the ball and where and she can put the pass right on the money and in a good position to score. Her ability to get her teammates involved is matched by her impressive ability to create her own shot. She has her go-to move which is a strong dribble to the midrange area and pull-up jumper. The part that makes it highly effective is that she also can quickly power her way to the basket to finish close range shots. Defenders are not able to close out to hot or stick to close to her in order to contest the midrange pull-up as she has can quickly leave them in the dust as she scores quickly. Her area of opportunity is not forcing contested shots in traffic. She has a strong passing ability so if defenders throw multiple people in front of around her, swinging out the pass to an open teammate will be the best way to help her team be in a position to score. Summer Showcase (MN) - August 2020 Chloe maybe on the younger side but she shows the basketball IQ and moxie to be able to mix it up with older and more experienced players. She runs an offense with veteran-like precision and showed she could create a shot herself or for a teammate. She liked to attack on the right side of the basket and stop and pop a short jumper before the defense could recover and contest her shot. Her area of growth would be to work on going to the left side of the basket. If she was able to attack from either side of the basket, she could keep the defenders guessing and, on their heels,, which would help her be able to use her speed and finishing ability in the lane to be a dangerous scorer. Johnson is an exciting point guard prospect coming up in Minnesota basketball.
