Featured40 Minnesota - October 2021
Cink showed herself to be a tough defender for opponents to try and get past or score while she was guarding them. She used her strength and was not afraid to body up when the ball handlers looked to try and get past her to keep them in front of her. Her tireless effort also was on display when she would get down on the floor to try and secure loose basketballs. On offense, she showed a good focus on the rim and no matter what the defenders were doing around her, you could see she kept her eyes squarely on the basket and looks to finish either with a soft touch over the rim or with using the glass. Her area of opportunity of would continuing to expand her range and have the confidence to take those shots. During warmups and shooting around, she showed that she was capable hitting from both midrange and beyond the perimeter. In games I think she should look to take those shots when she has the space during games to keep defenders honest.
Summer Showcase (MN) August 2020
Cink is one of the stronger guards when it comes to rebounding the ball. She has a really good read on where the ball will be coming, and she plants herself in position and leaps up to secure the ball. Once she has the ball you can see her turn to either look to throw the outlet pass or bring the ball up herself. She can power herself into the paint and often finishes through contact for and-1 opportunities. Her area of growth would be taking less chances on the defensive side. You can see she has a read on the ball but at times she gets caught sneaking over to try and get a steal or going for a steal gets her out of position and leads to an easy score. She has the strength and footspeed to keep the player in front of her and making them score over her.
