All-American Showcase 2022

Long has nice size for the guard position that helped make her effective on both sides of the ball. On offense, she showed she could handle the ball off the bounce and up against pressure defense or through multiple defenders. When looking to attack she kept her head up and was always scanning for openings in the defense. On defense, she was highly disruptive coming up with deflections and noticing when her opponent exposed the ball and quickly getting a hand on to disrupt their movement and often came up or caused the turnover. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to work on finishing strong through contact. With her ability to create openings for herself, she was no stranger to getting into the paint, however at times the physicality of the defense seemed to knock her off balance or disrupt her shot. Continuing to work on finishing through contact will make her even more of an offensive threat with the ball in her hands.
