“Maddalene is a talented guard who is capable of scoring off the bounce at a high clip. Whether it is from the perimeter or the mid-range, her shot is fluid and she always seems to be in rhythm. She is strong with the ball in her hands and does a nice job of scanning the floor and looking to find open teammates when she does not have a shot for herself. Her handle is tight, and her first step is quick, allowing her to beat defenders off the bounce consistently.”

EVALUATION - JAS Middle School All-American Camp 2023

Minner was a feisty guard who showed that she is a physical and crafty finisher off the bounce. She showed that she had a good first step that allowed her to quickly get past her defender and into the paint to drop the pass off to a waiting teammate or pulled off a finish through contact and off the glass. Whether it was outside the arc, in the midrange or around the rim, she showed that she could put the ball through the net. She also showed she was not afraid to get physical as multiple times, she was the first one to get one on the ground diving for a loose ball. Her area of opportunity would be to work on shorting her passing attempts. You could see she would do a good job of scanning the floor looking for a teammate but a few times she would attempt crosscourt passes and they would get picked off due to telegraphing where they were going. Shorting those or working on not forcing the tough passes will help make her more effective and productive when the ball is her in her hands.
