EVALUATION

The Fall Exclusive (2024) 

Sammi showed that she will never take a play-off on either side of the game, and that type of effort does not go unnoticed and can be contagious for her teammates. She had no fear of mixing it up close to the basket and fighting for and chasing down rebounds during her games throughout the event. She showed a nice willingness to look to score in the paint and showed she could finish through contact and in a crowd. She showed she does not shy away from creating off-the-bounce or absorbing contact while trying to score from inside the paint. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to perfect and work on her ball handling in traffic or a crowd. Sometimes, she appeared to get sped up or rushed a shot if she got into a crowd. With her ability to get into the lane and finish, having the ball on a string and confidence to handle in a crowd will allow her to keep defenders on edge anytime she is heading towards the basket.

MN AAU State Prelims 2023 

Moore has great mobility, and she operates well from multiple spots. She runs her lane in transition, finding the open spot to where she can catch it and score. Players are comfortable throwing her the ball, as she has great hands, and keeps the ball high. As she continues to develop her offensive skill set, she is going to become more of a threat. I would like to see her stretch her game to the perimeter, as she will be very hard to stop as she works on her handle and jumpshot.

Summer Showcase MN 2022

Moore was an active and energetic player throughout the two-day event. On defense, she showed the ability to move her feet and keep both post and guard players in front of her and force them to try and score over her. On offense, she was able to finish shots on the move at a high percentage. It showed the body control she has to keep her focus on the rim and shooting on the move makes it difficult for defenders to try and get set or get a contest hand up in her face. Her area of opportunity would be continuing to work on finishing through contact. She can seemingly get to the basket anytime she puts her mind to it and just continuing to work on finishing through contact will help make her a more difficult matchup to slow down.
