Summer Showcase MN 2022

Autumn was a physical guard who played with a high motor on both sides of the ball. Throughout the two-day event, she was one of the best defenders from the younger groups of players. She used her upper body strength and moved her to feet to keep opposing players from getting past her or getting close to the basket. She also had quick hands and did a good job of coming up with deflections and disrupting the rhythm of the ball handler that she was matched up with. On offense, she seemed to put tireless pressure on defenders by looking to put constant attacking movement towards the painted area with the ball on her hands and finishing around either side of the basket with regularity. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to work on reading when to kick out the ball. With her ability to drive, defenders at times would wait for her in the paint or have multiple waiting for her and caused her to charge in and either get a turnover or a charge. Throwing out the pass once she pulls in defenders will help her teammates get high percentage looks.
