Holiday SZN Showcase MN 2022

Amyra played with constant intensity and constant effort throughout the event. She stayed in motion on both sides of the ball and was extremely difficult for opponents and matchups to stick with as she would wear them down. She showed that she is a strong rebounder and uses her upper body strength and ability to out muscle players to secure her fair share of rebounds. She did a good job using her body on defense and keeping opponents from getting close to the basket. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to work on and solidify her outside shot. While she showed off a nice shooting touch, at times, it appeared defenders played her for the drive and if she continues to get more and more comfortable outside the arc, defenders will pay anytime they leave her open outside the arc.

Amyra brought high energy and tireless effort to the games. She used her speed and ability to read the ball to secure a large number of rebounds from the guard position. She showed nice strength and once she got the ball, she kept two hands on it and didn’t allow it to be knocked away from her. She also showed her good vision in the passing lanes and often forced deflections and steals with quick hands. On offense, she showed the upper body strength to create and absorb contact when she looked to attack off the bounce and finished inside the arc with consistency. Her area of opportunity would be continuing to look for her shot from outside the arc. She showed a great desire and ability to attack off the bounce and adding a consistent outside shot will help her game expand and grow her skillsets.
