MN State Prelims 2022
Frost, hands down, was one of the best on-ball defenders seen the entire weekend. When she is matched up with someone, she moves her feet to keep defenders in front of her, she uses her speed to beat her matchups to spots on the floor and she has some of the best hands at poking away and coming up with the ball. Another impressive thing to note about her is her desire to go get the ball. Off deflections, you could see her desire in coming up with the ball and simply outworked almost anyone else on the court. On offense, she had no hesitation to accept and power through physicality off the bounce and still finish inside the paint or get herself to the free-throw line. Her area of opportunity would be looking for and continuing to get comfortable in her 3-point shot. With her ability to get downhill and put pressure on the defense, if she can add a consistent outside shot, defenders will truly be in a difficult position of trying to figure out how to stop her.

Marisa is the prime example of hustle and heart. She goes all out at all times on the court. She has a tireless energy on defense that allows her to speed up her matchup and cause turnovers or deflections. Once she has the ball in her hands, she looks to burn a trail to the rim over and over till the defense can find a way to stop. Once she is inside the arc, she shows she can do a good job at keeping her eyes on the rim and finishing the shot or finding an open teammate. She also is a capable 3-point shooter that can hurt the defense if they dare to give her a look. Her area of opportunity would be to not allow her high energy to get her out of position and allowing the defense the use hustle against her. If she can harness her energy, she can become a force on both sides of the ball that can wear down her matchups.
