2024 Freshman Focus

When it came to the offensive side of the ball, Makenna was as consistent and effective as they come. She had great patience, taking the shots she wanted and knowing when she had the space to pull the trigger from midrange or further out. She did a good job playing with her head up, scanning the floor for open teammates. Her length and speed allowed her to be highly disruptive on the defensive side of the game. An area of opportunity for her would be to continue refining and perfecting her ball-handling skills. At times, when surrounded by multiple defenders, she could have unsteady dribbling or seem unsure with the ball. Once she gains confidence in her dribble, she’ll be able to keep it alive and work past multiple defenders on her way to the basket.
