Fall Exclusive 2023 Leah is a strong guard with notable length that allows her to rise and score over defenders. While it is clear that she is completely comfortable shooting, she also showed that she has the determination to perfect and continue to work on ball handling and finishing ability off the bounce. On defense, she showed that she uses her length and active energy to be highly disruptive when it comes to deflections or steals. She also showed off some of the best passing vision of the entire event. She looked to constantly push the pace and made full court-length passes and made them look easy. Her area of opportunity would be recognizing when she has a smaller defender on her and going down low and burying them under the basket. With her elite combination of speed and athleticism, she could be nearly unstoppable if she gets a 1-1 matchup inside the paint. Summer Showcase MN 2023 Leah brought good size to the court, and she showed she knew how to use it when it comes to passing or looking for her shots. She was one of the best at the entire camp at making post entry passes. She had a high-level ability to lob it right over the defender’s hands and put it right in the hands of her intended target. She also showed that she could make passes right on the money even when she is on the move or creating off the bounce. She also showed a determination to get into the lane off the drive and rarely could a defender stop her from getting where she was trying to get to. Her area of opportunity would be continuing to work on focusing on getting all the way to the basket. At times, she appears to stop herself or hesitate to get all the way to the rim when the lane is open. With her ability to get past defenders, she could pile on points inside the rim. Holiday SZN Showcase MN 2022 Leah was an unrelenting force when it came to hunting for rebounds. She used her long reach, lightening quick speed and ability to track the ball to secure a large number of rebounds on both sides of the ball. She also had a good ability to use the glass to finish her shot and with her soft touch on the ball, was able to use the bank shot to her advantage and finish over defenders. Another strong aspect to her game was her quickness in the open court, and she beat numerous defenders down the court and was able to catch passes on the move and gather herself to go up and finish the shot. Her area of opportunity would be working on perfecting her ability to create off the bounce. At times she appeared hesitant to put the ball on the floor in the halfcourt game. With her speed, she will likely be able to leave defenders in the dust if she attacks off the bounce with consistency.
