8th Grade
The Fall Exclusive (2024) Stella was the type of player who was cool, calm, and collected anytime she played a game during the event. She just had a calming effect that players who are playing with and around her can feed off and stay in control and not get too high or too low. She had an effective midrange pull-up jumper as well as the ability to hit from outside the arc. Her area of opportunity would be continuing to work on finishing through contact. Sometimes defenders were able to get physical with her and knock her off her stride as she hunted for her shot. Continuing to get stronger as she heads to the basket, she will become even more difficult for defenders to stop. 2029 Only Showcase MN Stella was a long and active player. On defense, she showed that she had the footspeed to keep up with any player she was matched up with and did a great job not swinging down and staying straight up to make the shooter try and score over her. She also showed she has a strong ability to handle the ball and was constantly looking to push the pace and get out in the open court. She also showed a good court vision and often dropped passes that seemed like she could see a play or two ahead. Her area of opportunity would be continuing to work on and get comfortable with jump shots. At times she appeared to pass up chances to shoot and she could have made the defender pay for leaving her open. MN LVL Up Combine 2023 Stella showed herself to have deceptive quickness during the event with her dribble-drive moves. She would seem to lull the defenders into standing up or getting flat-footed and she was burst past them for a quick midrange pullup or got all the way to the basket and showed she could finish around waiting defenders. On defense, she was one of the best at avoiding screens and sticking to her matchup to not allow them to get past her towards the basket. Multiple times she forced turnovers of poor passes catching the player off guard that she was able to stick with her. Her area of opportunity would be working on not reaching on defense and bailing out opponents with fouls. At times she looks to jump all the exposed ball but makes contact. With her intensity and speed, she can both frustrate her matchup and be selective when she goes for steals and deflections and be a dominate on-ball defender.
