EVALUATION

JAS Middle School All-America Camp 2023 

Alexa was a crafty and shifty player when she had the ball in her hands. She showed excellent body control when it came to creating off the bounce or even in the catch and shoot. She showed a believable and reliable shot fake to lose multiple defenders throughout the event. With her ability to hit jump shots at a high percentage, defenders would come flying out at her with full effort and she would use that intensity against them and send them flying and allowing herself to either have an open look or an open lane to attack. When she did put the ball on the floor, she would show her strength by seeking body control and still finishing the tough shot. On defense, she showed quick hands and could quickly tie up the ball handler and force jump balls or turnovers making opposing players look to avoid her or try and pass before she could pressure them. Her area of opportunity would be to work on her quicker release off the bounce instead of allowing defenders to catch up to her. At times, despite being able to finish through contact, if felt like at times, she missed the opportunity to power up quickly and avoid contact all together which could save both energy and her physicality to last longer throughout the game.
