JAS Middle School All-American Camp 2023

Savayah is a hyper-athletic player who seemingly glides out on the court. She moves with intension and doesn’t seem to waste any dribbles or moves when she is looking to create or get to her desired spots. She length coupled with her wicked quick speed made her extremely difficult for defenders to stay in front of and if they did, she showed the ability to rise above them for quick pull-up jumpers or finishes at the time. She also showed that she could read when she had the mismatch and if a smaller defender would be on her, she would go to her back to basket moves, including having the body control to pull off quick spin moves in either direction and leave the defender flat-footed as she is laying in the shot. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to work on being more comfortable with her 3-point shot. While she took them and showed she could make them, at times she passed up or missed opportunities when defenders were either late to close out or would sag back in preparation for her attacks off the bounce. If she shows defenders have to play her honestly out on the perimeter it will give her more room to operate off the bounce and use her natural athleticism to hurt the defense.
