BIO

I have been playing basketball since I can remember. I have always had the dream of playing at the collegiate level and will do everything I can to accomplish that goal.

I am blessed to have been around the Greensburg Community High School girls basketball program for 8 years already. Through watching practices, attending basketball games, and getting an inside look to the program, I have been able to learn the game at a faster rate and put what I know into play.

I have a high basketball IQ and see the floor really well. I know when to pitch the ball ahead in transition and how to put my teammates in the best position to be successful. I encourage my teammates and am a team leader. I have strong ball handling skills and am a versatile scorer.

I work year round on my game, beginning with school ball with Greensburg Junior High School. I play for IGB Peters 2028 during travel season. I have recently started to work on my physical fitness and footwork, preparing myself for high school play. I also play softball for GJHS.

I work very hard in the classroom as well. I am currently taking biology and algebra as an 8th grader. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA with these classes.

I am eager to find a college that gives me the opportunity to continue my basketball career and succeed in the classroom.

JAS Middle School All-American Camp 2023

Kahlen showed that can she can be a presence when she is playing and can be that both offensively and defensively. She never appeared to let a missed shot or turnover get her down and she moved to the next play after she would score, she would quickly turn to look to get back on defense and not celebrate or get too high. That type of consistency gets noticed and it shows she is someone you can trust and rely on no matter what is going on in a game. She is a capable scorer from multiple areas on the court and will look for her shot if she is given space. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to look to attack off the bounce all the way to the basket with more frequency. She has a strong frame to be able to absorb the contact. Couple that with her ability to get into the paint, being able to get all the way to the basket to finish will open up more jump shot looks for her as defenders will likely sag off to prepare for her close to the basket.
