2029 Only Showcase MN 

Ava was a physical guard who could be a master with the ball in her hands. She showed she could handle the ball like it was on a string. Her strong build allowed her to power through contact and she did a great job staying focused on the rim to finish shots. On defense, she had the footspeed to stick with smaller guards out on the perimeter as well as the upper body strength to body up against players looking to attack inside the paint. Her area of opportunity would be continuing to work on her confidence in her outside shot. At times she appeared to pass up open looks out on the perimeter. If she continues to work to have a consistent outside shot, it will force the defenders to play her straight up. 

MN Holiday SZN Showcase 2023

Ava showed herself to be a 3-level scorer throughout the event and she seemed comfortable scoring anyway you can think of as well as with the ball in her hand and off the ball. She showed that she has a quick release and can get the shot off before defenders can recover or get a contest up. She showed off nice footspeed to get up the court and would give her teammates an option to push the ball up the court and push the pace. She showed she was willing to fight under the basket for rebounds or go to the ground trying to secure possession for her team. Her area of opportunity would be to be willing to take her shot more often. At times she appeared to pass up open looks and if she steps into open looks, she has the skills for make the defense pay for leaving her open.
