Smart, driven, and highly coachable, Samia “Smiley” Gomez is a dynamic floor general with elite basketball IQ and a natural feel for the game. As an 8th grader, she started at point guard for Harding High School’s varsity team, earning All-Conference honors and leading in points per game, steals, rebounds, and field goal percentage. She is a true facilitator—unselfish, composed, and capable of taking over games when needed. Her leadership, hustle, and court vision elevate everyone around her.

Off the court, Samia maintains a 3.8 GPA and has earned multiple academic honors, including the Principal's Award for academic excellence, inclusion, and trusted student leadership. She’s also an award-winning robotics team captain, leading her middle school team to a city championship and state-level competition.

Samia is committed to her craft, resilient under pressure, and always eager to learn. Whether in the classroom or on the hardwood, she brings grit, compassion, and purpose to everything she does.
