Nayeli “NJ” Herrera is a 5'7" Class of 2030 combo guard known for her high basketball IQ, advanced skill set, and versatility on both ends of the floor. Despite her age, NJ consistently plays up one to two grade levels and competes at an elite national and international level. She has participated in major events such as Nike EYBL Champion League, Select Events Winter Series, AAU World Championship Nationals, Boo Williams EYBL, and Nike’s Tournament of Champions in Chicago. Internationally, NJ has represented Baja California (Mexico), earning MVP honors in both the Mexico Baja California Elite tournament and the ADEMEBA All-tournament team. A true two-way player, she impacts the game with her decision-making, defensive instincts, and ability to score at all three levels. NJ is committed to continuous improvement with long-term goals of excelling in high school, earning college opportunities, and obtaining a college degree.

JAS Middle School All-American Camp (December 2025) Nayeli is a smart, positionally aware player who makes consistently good decisions on both ends. She gets in the right spots defensively, disrupting opponents and making plays on the ball. Offensively, she can drive and finish with both hands. Her passing ability also stood out. Nayeli’s poise and court awareness allow her to manage pace and facilitate to teammates. She has the pieces to become a must-see player in the 2030 class. Film Evaluation (November 2025) Nayeli creates exceptionally well off the bounce and is always looking to get to her spots to score. She has a polished handle and shows creativity in her attack. She pushes the pace and runs the floor hard in transition, looking to generate early offense. She plays with great confidence and a noticeable sense of physicality.
