Summer Showcase (MN) August 2020 Morgan is a long and agile wing/post player. She moves really quick out on the court and can slice past her defender in the half court or get out and run the court beating opponents down the court for quick buckets. She has a long each that allows her to stand straight up and give a long contest to players trying to shoot over her. Her long arms also allow her to reach out for secure rebounds out of her area and pulling the ball in. Her area of opportunity would be going up strong in the paint for close range shots. She sometimes lets the defenders make her fade away on her shot or to body her away from her area. If she powers up, she should be able to use her length to finish the shot over most defenders. Holiday SZN Showcase (MN) 12/30/2019 Showed a tenacity going for rebounds out of her area defensively. Also hunted down rebounds on the offensive end that helped her team have multiple possessions. Long and athletic player who can get up the court quickly with long strides taken. Showed elite timing with multiple blocks in the paint and even got a couple of blocks on taller players. One area where she will need to continue to work is not forcing the action offensively in traffic. This led to a few bad shots and turnovers, but this is a skill is developmentally appropriate for her age. Summer Showcase (July 2021) Morgan plays with an energy and intensity that is difficult to match for her opponents. She goes after rebounds and steals with vigor and has no fear to take contact or give up her body to try and come up with the possession for her team. She is the type of player who will always bounce right up after being knocked down and usually does so with a smile on her face. On offense, she has the body control to finish shots around the rim while going at a quick pace and does a good a job of staying focused on the basket and not getting distracted by defenders in her path. She showed an improving and consistent jump shot those defenders mistakenly gave her often to try and slow down her attack to the basket and she showed she was confident and capable of hurting them from outside the paint. Her area of opportunity is just to continue to develop and work on adding strength to her frame. She often was in good positions to rebound or attempt a post move, but a bigger defender could overpower her and take over the spot. If she can add the strength and be able to hold and secure her ground, coupled with her energetic play, she has the skills to be a dominate rebounder and hustle player that would be hard to take off the court.
