Determined. Versatile player on both ends of the court. On defense, quick hands and feet. Sees the court well. Offensively, enjoys the assist as much as taking it herself from the outside or to the hoop. Always talking on the court.

MN AAU State 2023 Riley was a wizard when she was creating scoring opportunities off the bounce and was a major force behind her team winning their section State Championship. She brings good size to the court that allows her to see over most guard defenders and couples that with quick footspeed that she can beat bigger defenders or slower guards off the bounce. She did a good job of scoring a multitude of different ways inside the arc with smooth floaters, midrange pullups or getting all the way to the basket. She also shows a craftiness around the rim and has the body control to slice through the defense and lay the ball in on either side of the hoop. She also has shown an improved ability of moving off the ball and finding weak spots in the defense and demanding the ball and quickly scoring or drawing in the defense and opening up opportunities for her teammates. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to put in the work in on her outside shot. She has a smooth looking shot and just working on becoming more confident with the shot in game will allow her to be a high-level three-level scorer. Midwest Kickoff Classic 2023 Riley showed great willingness to shoot from multiple areas on the floor. She knocked down a few threes, got into the lane to score, and never took bad shots. Whenever she drew a double team, she had the vision to kick out to an open teammate for an easy shot. MN AAU State- May 2022 Riley showed that she is the glue type of player for her team this weekend. She picked her spots wisely to look to try and score. When she was out there, she helped facilitate good ball movement and made extra-effort type plays. She showed that she was willing to crash for the rebounds on both sides of the game. She also showed that she was willing to give up the body to get on the ground and go all out for a loose ball. When she did look to score, she showed throughout the weekend she could hit from 2-point and 3-point range as well as getting to the free throw line for scoring opportunities. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to work on the confidence and willingness to look for her own shot. She seemed to at times pass up high percentage scoring options and passed up open looks and should look to make the defense pay anytime she gets the chance to on offense. MN AAU State Tournament - May 2021 Riley is a hard-working, lengthy guard. On the offensive end, she did a good job helping out in the press and making herself available. She ran the floor well in transition and moved off the ball to open things up for her teammates. Riley showed off her smooth stroke from beyond the arc. On both ends of the floor, she did a great job working to get rebounds. Defensively, she showed that she was able to guard any position on the floor. She was physical near the rim and did a good job keeping people in front of her on the perimeter. An area of opportunity for Riley would be to improve her ball-handling and look for more opportunities to drive in the half-court. If she can tighten up her handles, she'll be able to better attack the defense and find ways to score. Summer Showcase (July 2021) Riley displayed a silky-smooth leftie jump shot all day long. Her ability to know when she was open had or had the space to get the shot off seemed to be in full force all day long. She often got great looks at the basket as she would get the shot off quickly before the defender to respond to try and contest. Riley showed a willingness to step outside and take long 2s or 3-point attempts and hit them at a pretty high percentage. Another strong aspect to her shot is her form of stepping into the shot when shooting with a forward motion. Without knowing it, that is the type of thing that will catch defenders who are closing out too strong to make contact and get herself to the free-throw line and with her shooting form as smooth as it is, those would be almost automatic points. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to work on attacking off the bounce. She has good size and if she could get more comfortable in powering herself into the lane for close range buckets, it will make defenders have a pick their poison of how they want to try and slow her down from scoring.
