Featured40 Minnesota (November 2020)
At the Featured 40, it seemed like Emma was even faster if that seems possible. She simply is just as smooth of a guard as there is in the state. She can score anyway she wants to off the bounce and get past almost any defender that matches up with her. She knows she can score anytime she wants to and showed that off this Saturday. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to look for her shot even more. She has a high-level passing ability but at times, she has the space and ability that she herself could shoot the ball and the defense pay.
Minnesota Fall Exclusive (October 2020)
Emma has a basketball IQ that is off the charts. She has everything you want from the point guard leading your team. She is a prime example of knowing the three Ws you want from her position. She knows who to get the ball to, when to get them the ball and where to give them the ball to put them in the best position to score. In terms of her own scoring, she has the speed, handles and shooting stroke that allows her to score anyway she wants to on the court. Her lightning-quick footspeed allows her to blow right past almost any defender in the half court but also can beat almost any other guard or player down the court on the fast break. She has the rare ability to be equally fast with or without the ball in her hands. Once she gets inside the arc, she has a wide array of moves she can perform effectively. She has a smooth jump shot that is almost automatic when she pulls it out. She also has the shooting touch to pull of smooth floaters and runners inside the lane that she can get off over taller players looking to contest or reject the shot. In terms of passing, she has the passing vision that seems to allow her to see a play or even two ahead. She almost every time makes the right pass and puts the ball right on the money. Her area of opportunity would just be to be more aggressive on the offensive side of the ball. As mentioned, she has so many options in terms of looking to score so she shouldn’t ever hesitate to look for her shot and make the defense know where she is at all times on the court.
