Featured40 Minnesota - October 2021
Rory played with a swagger and a confidence that is fun to watch. Throughout the event, she seemed to know the weak spots in the defense or the type of shot that she could get off and when. She showed her patented smooth stroke from 3-point range and was hitting both with and without a hand in her face. When she was off the ball, she would make quick slices towards the basket or find the soft spots in the defense for a quick midrange pullup or hard attack inside the paint. She showed that she is an improving rebounder as she used her strength and build to carve out space around the basket and hold off opposing players to secure the ball. Her are of opportunity would be to work on posting up smaller guards when they get switched onto her. She has the ball control and strength to be able to bury smaller defenders for score over them with her back to the basket and should look to make defenses pay more from the area.
Summer Showcase (July 2021)
Rory is the type of player who plays with swag on the court. She is a taller guard who has a wickedly accurate shot release. Once she knows she has the space, she will let the perimeter shot fly and likely drill it. She displayed the ability to break down her matchup in a 1 on 1 setting as she showed she is a capable and willing attacker off the bounce. She has the body control and strength to take the contact inside the paint and still finish high degree of difficult shots with regularity. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to look to crash the glass on both sides of the ball. With her height and strength, she has the tools to be a dominate rebounder from the guard position.
