Summer Showcase MN 2023

Lily plays with a confidence and composure that her teammates could feed off and trust her to handle the ball. She also was a vocal leader, and you could hear her talking on both sides of the ball and clear so her teammates can hear her. On the offensive side of the game, she showed that she could knockdown outside jumpers in the catch and shoot as well as put the ball on the ground and stop for the smooth pull-up jumper. She also had zero fear fighting inside the paint and looking to try and come up with rebounds. Even when giving up size, she still looked to seek a body and push them away from the rebound or she would look to swipe at it if the opponent brought the ball down. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to work on keeping her head up when she is driving. At times, it appeared she was looking down and possibly missing open teammates or limiting the area of the court she could see while on the move. 

MN AAU State 2023 

Lily brought energy and activeness when she was on the court. She showed herself to be comfortable handling the ball as well as roaming off the ball and looking for her areas of try and score. She showed that she can hit the outside shot when given the opportunity and that forced defenders to stretch out and have to play her honestly. She also showed a nice ability to keep her eyes on the basket when she is attacking off the bounce and looking to score inside the paint. Her area of opportunity would be to continue to work on and get comfortable when it comes to physicality when she is driving. At times, she would retreat if she saw a physical defender coming over to her or allowed them to speed her up on her shot to avoid the bump from the defense. Working on powering through that or outrunning the physicality will help make her a harder guard for the opponents. 

Summer Showcase MN 2022

Lily was that player who was going to give 100% effort anytime she was on the court. She does a good job of making the extra-effort plays on the defensive including getting on the floor for loose balls, using her quick hands to try and force deflections and turnovers. She also showed zero fear looking to go downlow and try and mix it up for rebounds on both sides of the ball. An area of opportunity for her would be to continue to work on her confidence in her scoring and looking for her own scoring opportunity. At times she seemed to pass up open opportunities and looks at the basket. When she would shoot, she showed a nice shooting ability and a capable scorer. Having the confidence in her shot and making defenders play her honest will help take her game to the next level.
