Fall is now for Basketball – and I LOVE it!

With so much uncertainty regarding the MSHSL and start times for winter basketball for both boys and girls, it is looking like the only guarantee to get competitive games played in what’s left of 2020 will be to play in AAU tournaments and fall leagues.

The Fall Exclusive on Friday nights started at Bloomington Kennedy last week.  This partnership with Prep Girls Hoops was a HUGE hit!  If you are interested in joining a team for the remaining 3 weekends, please email admin@jrallstar.com to inquire!

AAU Basketball will be rolling into the fall this year.  Visit www.aauevents.com for an offering one day shootouts on October 10th and 24th and a Nov 7-8 Fall Finale tournament.  The Breakdown will be running their annual fall league and other opportunities have been popping up as well.

This much is certain, the teams that are able to organize and practice/play this fall will be that much farther ahead with the spring/summer AAU season begins (hopefully) in April of 2021.  Think of this as spring football at the college level, the timing, bonding, and chemistry formed this fall has a chance to pay huge dividends in the early part of the 2021 tournament series.

I will be be brining my folding chair every Friday for The Fall Exclusive, and hope to make some of the Breakdown Sundays as well!  You better believe my Saturdays will be planned for Fall AAU Basketball to see who has made strides from the summer and get a head start on “way to early” 2021 club team rankings.  Rumor has it there might be a few high profile teams from outside Minnesota that might be competing as well.  As we have learned so far in 2020, life is like a box of chocolates, you never know from one day to the next what you might get!

What do you think?
