The PASS Southern Jam took place this weekend at the Wiregrass Sports Campus in Wesley Chapel, Florida put on by former college coach Harry Elifson and his staff. This was the first of 3-4 mega events in Wesley Chapel which has become the hub for club basketball events in the state of Florida. Around 90 teams participated from 4th – 11th Grade prepping for the travel season.
2025
Top Team – Miami Impact 16U – While several of the Top 16’s didn’t play each other (ECU the Family 25 played mostly 17’s) Miami Impact picked up the win over ECU Richardson (who beat Team Knight 16U) and Always 100 2025 Florida who has a very good team. Miami Impact is coming on the scene strong in South Florida and will be playing in the UA Rise this year potentially vying for a UAA spot her very soon.
2025 Standout Players
Serena Rosas – 2025 West Orange – Long athletic wing who can do it all from everywhere on the floor. One of the more underrated players in Central Florida really coming into her own as a prospect.
Jaida Civil – 2025 Vero Beach – Missed a majority of the high school season but regarded as one of the top players in the state in 2025. Her team played up some this weekend resulting in two losses but she should be unstoppable when playing her own age.
Riley Stoker – 2025 Somerset – Stoker just keeps growing and has the guard skills to back it up. Stoker is getting more aggressive on defense and making some impressive plays on both ends of the floor. Stock up.
Tessa O’Leary – 2025 – Venice – Big part of a well coached high IQ Always 100 team. O’Leary has great size and can play any spot on the floor she was very good this weekend and is a D1 recruit.
Zora Jackson – 2025 – Oak Ridge – Electric floor general who gets down hill and never stops attacking. Jackson’s 3 ball has been really good and she can defend on the ball with the best players in the state.
Sam Lecas – 2025 Mainland – Long range bomber who has unlimited energy. Lecas is always playing hard and making plays on both ends of the floor.
Abby Knauff – 2025 Bolles – Well built guard who can shoot the 3. Has to continue to get more skill off the bounce but a go to for the ECU 2025 Family team.
Symonique Simon – 2025 – Cardinal Mooney – Not many players rebound like she does at 5-5. A tough player who is opportunistic and always around the ball. Made some big plays for her Always 100 team this weekend.
Ary Hester – 2025 – Lake Minneola – Lightning quick guard who defends well on the ball. Shooting the 3 better and better. Floor general for her team who plays at a fast pace.
Vanessa Vohs – 2025 – St Cloud – Don’t underestimate Vohs she came out this weekend against some of the top players in the state and held her own as well as contributed to her team finishing 2-1. Vohs can shoot it, makes good decisions, and is a great teammate.
Jailyn Neder – 2025 Land O’ Lakes – Very active scoring guard with range and great size for her position.
Shay Farley – 2025 – IMG Academy – Versatile wing who can go inside out and has a high IQ.
Olivia Staples 2025 Freedom – High IQ player who can really shoot the ball and serve as a secondary ball handler at a high level.
2026
Top Team – Blue Heat 2026 – The Blue Heat came out and rolled through the Southern Jam they consistently are underestimated and come out and dominate. The reality is they should have had a tougher schedule. After winning the Orlando Splash last year its possible they could be the Top 2026 team in Florida which will be determined in two weeks when they play in the Sunshine State Showdown back in Wesley Chapel.
2026 Standout Players
Alyssa Marino – 2026 Gateway – Can really shot the 3, has toughness, and can handle the ball.
Stephanie Vega – 2026 – Somerset Silver Palms – Highly skilled guard who can play point and lead her team. Already playing an age group up.
Ashley Martinez – 2026 – Somerset Silver Palms – One of the best shooters in the state who has had success already at the high school level is a very strong player for Miami Impact in just 9th grae
J’Adore Hayes – 2026 North Miami – Big post from North Miami is one of the better front court players in Florida in 2026. Hayes showed that talent this weekend in Wesley Chapel.
Alanna Tatum – 2026 University Christian – Uber athletic guard who likes to get at the rim.
Aniya Hester – 2026 – Lake Minneola – Athletic guard who is a great on ball defender and can get to the rim.
Isyss Mims 2026 – Forward with great size for her age and emerging skill set.
Evana Rivera 2026 Gateway – Powerful wing forward who can score around the rim and shoot the 3. She isn’t afraid to mix it up inside.
Bryleigh Florio 2026 Lecanto – One of the better shooters in the state, I saw her finish well around the basket this weekend and score big baskets for her team.
Madison Perez 2026 Timber Creek – Solid built wing who is active on both ends of the floor. Got open looks this weekend and is an aggressive rebounder.
Audrey Beyer 2026 Bartram Trail – Long guard who has lots of potential and upside.
Cherish Rishbrook 2026 Colonial – One of the toughest players of the weekend picked up a black eye giving her all. Cherish is super athletic and quick and plays just as hard. She has a developing offensive game
