What jersey number do you wear? Is there any significance behind it? The jersey number that means the most, and I always wear is #10. I was randomly given this number in third grade, and it has stuck with me for 6 years now.

What is your all-time favorite basketball memory? My all-time favorite basketball memory was when I made my first three-pointer in fourth grade. All of the referees had these shocked looks on their faces, they didn’t think that a fourth grade girl could be that strong. Although, I mostly remember how excited my dad was. He was screaming and yelling, and I couldn’t help my smile from showing the rest of the game.

When you think about your skillset and play style, what NBA or WNBA player is your game most comparable to? I would compare my skill set and play style to Dennis Rodman. One of my biggest attributes is rebounding, this past AAU tournament I averaged 15.25 rebounds. Rodman and I both have the same defensive mindset, whether it comes to our timing or just effort in general.

Who has been your biggest role model, and what have you learned from them? My biggest role model is my AAU coach, Courtney Kinney. Although she has only been my coach for 2 years, she has had an incredible impact on my life. One of my favorite things about Coach Courtney is her passion for her players to get better. She doesn’t just treat you like a player, but a parent. She cares so much for every single one of her girls, and is determined to improve everyone. She is an amazing listener, and encourages you to reach out to her if you are ever struggling, basketball related or not. She has helped me gain back my confidence, after the frustrating days during school basketball. I know that I will always have her by my side. Also, she has worked diligently on my post moves with me. I have learned how to read the defender and make specific moves to specific situations. Without, Coach Courtney I wouldn’t be the player I am today.

What are your post-high school plans, athletically and academically?
Post-high school, I would like to attend college to earn a degree in medicine. My grandfather always told me that I was going to be the first doctor in the family. He was incredibly proud of my achievements, and I know he would have loved to see me succeed. Also, I am interested in competing athletically in college. The game of basketball will always hold a special place in my heart, and I plan to compete for as long as I can.

When you are not playing basketball, what do you do for fun? When I am not playing basketball, I like to focus my time on my friends and family. Most of my friends and I have busy schedules, but if we find a day that works, we enjoy going out to eat or hanging out together at home. My friends are very important to me, and I will take any opportunity to spend time with them. Although, if my friends aren’t available, I am hanging out with my family. Whether it’s family game nights or watching the latest horror movie. I love spending time with those important to me, and will always put them first.

If you could meet one person dead or alive, who would it be and why? If could meet one person dead or alive, I would meet Kim Mulkey. After watching LSU’s amazing season this year, I would love to know the strategy and skill that resides in Mulkey’s brain. Her defensive game plan against Iowa in the championship game was incredibly impressive and influential. I would be so grateful to sit down with her and talk about my struggles and my talents, in order to get her opinion and advice on what I could do to improve my play.

What is your favorite TV show or movie? My favorite TV show is The Umbrella Academy.

What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is Italian food.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could visit any place in the world, I would visit

What do you think?
