The Hoop Group New England Jam Fest took place this weekend, and we did our best to watch and evaluate as many players as we could. Here is a look at some of the talented players in the 2025 class that we were able to get our eyes on:
Cassie Beste – G – Lone Wolf HGSL
Cassie is a dynamic scoring guard who makes plays at all three levels of the floor. She connects on perimeter jumpers with consistency, operates efficiently in the mid-range, and scores through contact at the rim. Utilizing a quick burst of speed, she blows by her defender and gets downhill to create off the bounce. Defensively, she is solid and takes pride in winning her next matchup.
Addison Beers – G – NE Storm HGSL
Addison contributes in a variety of ways at both ends of the floor. Defensively, she keeps her hands active, looking to pick up steals and deflections. She takes on any assignment and shuts them down. On the offensive end, she scores the ball efficiently and is an excellent passer who sees the floor well. Solid rebounder on both ends as well.
Bryana Szepan – G – NE Crusaders Select
Bryana is a very good passer. She has a remarkable understanding of angles and uses them to put the ball where only her teammate can receive it. A proven scorer as well, she gets it done from all levels. Defensively, she is all over the floor, flying around and looking to pick up steals.
Ellianna Nassy – G – NE Crusaders Select
Nassy is a great rebounder from her position. She crashes the glass hard on both ends of the floor, looking to get her hands on every ball she can. A solid offensive player, she sees the floor to distribute and picks and chooses her spots on when to score. High ceiling player who is only getting better.
Bleu Kerr – G – Lady TNE
Bleu is a shifty guard who creates very well off the bounce. She excels at blowing past her defender and getting into the lane, where she utilizes her patience and makes the right play for her team. She keeps the ball on a string and is poised with it in her possession.
Bryan Bascones – W – Sting Elite
Bryan has a quick trigger from the perimeter and does not need much space to be able to let it fly. A strong, physical guard, she is stout on the defensive end, knocking ball handlers off their line and ripping the ball away. She moves very well without the ball, and sets up high-quality scoring opportunities.
Chandler Benjamin – G – Twin Tier Elite
Chandler is a lengthy guard who wreaks havoc on the defensive end. She is constantly getting her hands in passing lanes and looking to deflect the ball. Offensively, she attacks the rim with strength and uses her body to get opportunities around the basket. Very good passer who sees the floor well.
Amiya Fowler – W – Lady Runnin Rebels
Amiya is a versatile wing who impacts the game in a variety of ways on the offensive end. She is a gifted scorer who gets it done efficiently, not taking any bad shots and setting up teammates when her opportunity does not present itself. Defensively, she never stops moving and takes on any assignment given to her.
Olivia Nardi – G – Lady Runnin Rebels
Posing as a big-time perimeter threat on the perimeter for any defense, as she is always ready to catch and shoot. When she gets run off her line, she has the confidence to put the ball on the floor and make plays for her team.
Gabby Bowes – W – Lady Runnin Rebels
Gabby has the ability to defend multiple positions at a high level, utilizing her lengthy frame and athleticism to wreak havoc. Her offensive versatility makes her a two-way threat that is very difficult to match up with. She scores well in a variety of ways.
Serenity Lancaster – F – CBC Fairfield HGSL
With an imposing 6-foot-1 frame, Serenity impacts the game at both ends of the floor. She has a quick bounce off the floor and uses it to get off the floor to block or alter shots. Offensively, she scores well around the rim, but also showed that she can stretch beyond that as well.
Emily Mennillo – G – CBC Fairfield HGSL
Emily is an excellent floor general who can facilitate and score at a high level. She has great vision and sets up her teammates with crisp, on-time passes that lead to high-quality scoring opportunities. Strong when driving downhill, she embraces contact and scores to earn extra opportunities at the foul line.
Hailey Monroe – G – Athenas
Hailey is a high-level defender. She has great activity and does a good job of getting her hands in passing lanes to record steals and deflections. Her ability to rebound the ball from her position cannot go unnoticed. A talented scorer as well, she gets it done from all three levels.
Ashaya Wallace – G – Twin Tier Elite
Wallace has a very high basketball IQ, and she uses it to make plays all over the floor. She scores the ball at all three levels as well, making herself a consistent scoring threat. She is a tough defender who pesters ball handlers forcing turnovers consistently.
