Peter London @CarolinaGHoops Joins Jr All Star Staff

Time for us to brag a little bit! But this is chance for us to brag and celebrate the coverage which is about to come your way in 2021. Jr All Star is excited to announce the addition of one of the biggest names in grassroots basketball Peter London or as you might know on social media @CarolinaGHoops. Peter is known for his media coverage and producing some of the best individual events in the country. Peter will be taking the lead on the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia as we continue expand our coverage nationwide. In addition Peter will add a critical element to our national coverage traveling around the country to the best events, evaluating, and covering the best players in the country. Needless to say we are extremely excited about adding Peter to the staff and we take a chance to go 1 on 1 with him here about what to expect from him on Jr All Star.

JAS: How did you get involved in girls basketball?

@CarolinaGHoops – Peter London: I got involved in Girls Basketball when my daughter was 9 years old, we joined St. Columba Recreation league in Kings Bay, Brooklyn, she continued to play in High School and 1 year of College, where she played Basketball and Softball.  I was fortunate to be a coach at the AAU/Club and High School levels over the last 13 years.

JAS: Why do you think individual events are important for players to attend?

@CarolinaGHoops – Peter London:  Individual events are important for players to attend because this environment gives the player a chance to showcase their skill level in the skills and drills portion while also playing in the game sessions where they can show off their IQ level and ability to make and create shots on the floor.  A lot of players may be stuck in a “System” on their High School or AAU/Club teams and are not able to show the skills and abilities that will help them to become a Collegiate Basketball prospect.

JAS: In covering North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia what should parents, players, and fans expect?

@CarolinaGHoops – Peter London: The Fans in these States can expect the same quality information that I have been providing for the last 4 years with Carolina Girls Hoops Report, I have been covering North Carolina and South Carolina since 2017, providing articles and video on players of all levels and abilities throughout that time. I am excited to join the Jr All Star team because they are going to help me provide a platform that will help the players to be seen and recognized by college coaches and National Evaluators.

JAS: What is the best girls basketball game you ever saw with your own eyes?

@CarolinaGHoops – Peter London: That is a tough question because I have seen a lot of good games over the last 4 years, I will say East Clarendon HS (SC) vs Eugene Ashley HS (NC) during the 2019 Crescom Bank Holiday Invitational in Myrtle Beach. This game was a matchup of 2 of the top players in the country , 2021 – Guard – Saniya Rivers for Eugene Ashley & 2022 – Guard – Talaysia Cooper – East Clarendon. This game was the 1st time that these 2 Players went up against each other and it was very memorable, Cooper finished with 36 Pts while Rivers scored 29 Pts in a Game that didn’t end her favor.

JAS: What is the best way for fans, parents, and players to reach out to you about stories and events?

@CarolinaGHoops – Peter London: I can be reached via email at Peter.c.london4@gmail.com, Phone ((917480 – 6570) or on my social media pages – Twitter: @CarolinaGhoops – Instagram: @CaroliniaGirlsHoops are ways that you can get in touch with me.
